Nearly two years have passed since season one of Peacemaker concluded, but one of the show’s stars is here to shut down any skepticism about the possibility of a second season.
“It’s happening,” The Color Purple star Danielle Brooks told Deadline when asked if a second season was still in the works.
“That’s all I know. It’s happening. When? Not quite sure.”
For the time being, Brooks will keep her focus on Hollywood’s awards season. She recently received a nomination for “Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture” at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards. Moving forward, she’ll be looking to see if she can also earn an Academy Award nomination for her performance in The Color Purple. Also, she’s reportedly involved in the making of a film inspired by the popular game, Minecraft.
“I’m so excited about working on Minecraft,” Brooks told Deadline.
“I just met Jack Black at the Golden Globes and we took a picture together. That was really cool. And working with Jason Momoa, I’m really excited about this project and staying in the Warner Bros. family.”
