When it comes to the Draft, there is a lot of boot licking that takes place, we rarely see it because they happen in interviews and such but we always gain a peek into the result of the meeting. If it went well, we hear about it. If it didn’t, we don’t hear about it. That’s how it usually goes.
In this case, D’Angelo Russell likes the Knicks and the Knicks, well they like everyone. But it must stop Knicks fans’ hearts when they hear that D’Angelo Russell mentions the Triangle offense and how he’d think that he’d thrive in it.
“Now that I look at it, Kobe had great success in it. The shots that he took, the shots that he made were in the same areas, all from the offense. So I think I can definitely thrive there,” Russell said in a phone interview on Friday.
It’s good to hear that he would thrive in a Triangle, but unlucky for him that the only team that uses said offense is the New York Knicks.
I think D’Angelo would do well in New York, I think they’d love him in the blue and orange, just a shame that he probably won’t be available in the Draft when they get to New York.
