When the Los Angeles Lakers selected guard D’Angelo Russell with the second overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, he was immediately thrown into the spotlight, whether he likes it or not. The 19 year old skilled guard is being viewed by some in Los Angeles as the next great hope once Kobe Bryant decides the hang it up, whenever that is.
This video from Vice Sports was taken before Russell went to training camp and media day because he clearly says he hasn’t met Kobe and only talked to the Lakers legend once.

For Russell, the sky is the limit, literally and figuartively as he describes how he wants to travel into space after his career is over and see what’s happening on different planets. You got to love his ambition.
