Damon Wayans is set to return to ABC as the star of the family sitcom, Let’s Stay Together. Reuniting with My Wife and Kids co-creator, Don Reo, the duo is set to focus on Wayans as a single father who finds it hard to get rid of millennial children. Furthermore, the story line is expected to be inspired by the actor’s life and experiences.
According to Deadline, the project is still in development at ABC Studios. The two sides have agreed to a script commitment plus penalty. Currently, there are no further details available about the cast or executive producers.
In addition to returning to ABC, Wayans will be hitting the stage once again on a stand-up comedy tour. The tour is planned for this fall as the series continues to build. Wayans will join Dave Chapellle, Eddie Murphy and other comedic giants in the recent run of veteran comedians returning to the stage.
