The NBA offseason gives professional basketball players a rare opportunity to sometimes step away from the game they love and embrace some of their other hobbies. For some, this could be other sports, spending time with their family, traveling, or a number of other activities. For some though, it’s a time for them to hone their skills in the recording booth and this is certainly true for two of the more well-known rappers in the NBA: Damian Lillard and Marvin Bagley III.
In fact, the two went back and forth with their bars yesterday, dropping multiple diss tracks at each other all stemming from some comments Bagley made when he appeared on ESPN’s First Take. Bagley challenged Lillard to a rap battle on the show, and Lillard was more than willing to embrace the competition.

Bagley was the first to step into the studio after his comments, as he promptly released a track titled ‘No Debate’ just hours after his appearance on First Take.
Not to be outdone, Damian Lillard under his popular rap moniker Dame D.O.L.L.A. came back with some music of his own. Lillard first dropped a diss track titled ‘MARVINNNNNN???’ in response to Bagley’s comments and ‘No Debate.’ Lillard wasn’t done there though as he would turn around and drop a second track later that same night titled ‘Bye Bye’ featuring the picture of him waving to the Thunder after their elimination in the playoffs as the cover art. You can listen to both tracks from Lillard below.
Lillard also revealed on Twitter that his third studio album is on the way and will be dropping soon.
