It has been a good week in the NBA to end the month of February. Even though the two conferences are different in terms of records. The narratives for both conferences are similar. The 1 seeds are the best in the league outright and are looking to cruise into the Playoffs. While everybody below is fighting for the best position possible. The 7 and 8 seeds are juicy as can be. With San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Phoenix and New Orleans in the West and Miami, Brooklyn, Charlotte, Indiana, Detroit and now the Boston Celtics are in the mix! The East may be “trash” but that is going to be tight between the six teams.
Speaking of Boston. We will now go on a tangent to the subject for today. The NBA Players Of The Week. Which go to Portland’s Damian Lillard and Boston’s Isaiah Thomas.
Portland has been 3-0 this week. Beating the Spurs, OKC and Sacramento. Lillard averaged 26 points in those games with his best performance being a 31 point, 7 assist game, leading the Blazers to a 110-99 win against the Kings.
For Thomas and the C’s. They were 3-1 in the week where Isaiah averaged 22 PPG and 6.5 APG. His best game this week was on the 27th of February where he dropped a season high 28 points and 7 assists against the Charlotte Hornets.
