After being one of the biggest snubs in All-Star history. Damian Lillard is done. He’s clearly not happy. The fans don’t rate him, (but when they pick Kobe over Harden I’m not surprised) the coaches don’t rate him (they have no excuse) and Adam Silver picked DeMarcus Cousins over him.
It’s hard being Damian Lillard and trying to find recognition. Remember that he was cut off the FIBA World Cup squad last summer. So it’s clear that he can’t catch a break.
But I think the frustration has got to him. If the fans and coaches don’t want him at the All-Star Game. Then you won’t mind if he pulls out of the All-Star Skills Challenge (according to RealGM) would you?
During All-Star Weekend last season, Lillard participated in every event: the Rising Stars game, Skills Challenge, Three-Point Shootout, Slam Dunk contest and All-Star Game.
Trey Burke has committed to his invite for the upcoming skills competition after winning together with Lillard a year ago. Dallas Mavericks guard Monta Ellis strongly considered his invitation for the event, but has decided to decline, sources told RealGM.
Why can you people not give Damian Lillard love? He comes out of Weber State a near unknown. Wins Rookie of the Year in 2013. Next year he becomes an All-Star. He drops a dagger on Houston in the Playoffs. In my opinion he’s the best point guard in the league behind Steph Curry.
And you still can’t recognise. Some of you need a reality check.
