Though Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard continues to climb up the ranks in the NBA, the point guard is also pretty good at his side hobby. Over the past couple years of his professional basketball career, we’ve seen Lillard become a household name in the NBA and now more so than ever, also in the hip-hop world.
Under the stage name ‘Dame Dolla’, Lillard already released his successful debut album ‘The Letter O’ last year and has since been dropping sporadic singles and giving fans freestyles. In fact, his work towards music has only increased since the NBA season came to a conclusion, making this summer a big one for Lillard and his newfound relevancy in the music world.
Just days ago, Lillard announced that his second album is currently on the way and is expected to be available on all platforms once he releases it on October 6th, just days before the commencement of the NBA regular season. Until that day is upon us, however, Dame Dolla made a recent visit to ‘Sway in the Morning’ where he previewed a track from his upcoming album, discussed Colin Kaepernick, and even dropped a freestyle.
