It could be said that Portland Trail Blazers point guard carries a ton of slights with him every night he steps on the court. He’s been left off the NBA All-Star team before, he wasn’t selected for Team USA Basketball and some doubted his abilities to lead the Blazers after LaMarcus Aldridge left to play for the San Antonio Spurs.
But time after time he proved everyone wrong. Last night against the Los Angeles Lakers was one of those moments where he took someone’s slight and turned it into fuel.
In the middle of the Blazers game against the Los Angeles Lakers, Lillard was matched up with young Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell. The two were going at each other all night, but there was one point where things got a little chippy.
Here’s the minor altercation between Russell and Lillard.

Dame is not one to mess around with. Despite his often calm demeanor, the Oakland native is not shy about speaking up and defending both himself and his teammates. On this occasion, Russell felt the wrath of Dame Dolla.
