Okay, I think now we have reached passed the point where our utter disbelief of what Stephen Curry is doing has unfortunately spilled over into other players achievements. Let’s pump the breaks and take a breath here.
So Damian Lillard has been on fire since his All-Star snub. Since the break he’s the 4th highest scorer and the Portland Trail Blazers are still in the hunt for Playoff basketball, something that none of us thought could happen this season.
In his most recent game, he dropped 20 points in the 1st Quarter, which was mesmerizing. Until a reporter asks him if he’s “impersonating Stephen Curry”.
Now that, that’s not cool. Stephen Curry is incomparable at the moment but that doesn’t mean that everybody is trying to be him. He didn’t invent anything, Steph Curry hasn’t invented anything, he’s just taking everything to stupidly new heights. You can’t demote Damian Lillard by comparing him to Curry. But Damian Lillard had the best comeback. Behold.
