Detroit Pistons 105, Charlotte Bobcats 99

Greg Monroe scored 10 of his 17 points in the final quarter and Jose Calderon clinched the win with a pair of free throws. Before Monroe could dominate, it was Brandon Knight’s 21 points that kept the Pistons in the game.  Kemba Walker led the Bobcats with 24 points.

Indiana Pacers 125, New York Knicks 91

Indiana shot 61 percent in the 1st quarter and led by 12.  Then they scored 44 points in the 2nd quarter and had a 30 point lead going into the break. The Knicks shot 33% from the field and were never in the game.

Paul George led the Pacers with 27 points and 8 rebounds.  Tyson Chandler had 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Knicks, who have lost three games in a row.

Cleveland Cavaliers 105, New Orleans Hornets 100

Miami Heat 103, Atlanta Hawks 90

Miami’s 13-0 run at the start of the 4th quarter was enough to forget the ten point Hawk lead.  The Heat outscored Atlanta 40-17 in the last 12 minutes, and it was Shane Battier and Ray Allen that led them the comeback combining for 24 points. Miami’s on an eight game losing streak.

Brooklyn Nets 97, Milwaukee Bucks 94

Williams fouled Monta Ellis on a three pointer with 3 seconds left with the Nets leading by that amount.  Ellis missed all three free throws and the Nets survived to win the second straight game in as many nights against the Bucks.  Brandon Jennings had 31 points and 11 assists for Milwaukee.

Houston Rockets 112, Oklahoma City Thunder 109

Minnesota Timberwolves 94, Philadelphia 76ers 87

Los Angeles Lakers 113, Boston Celtics 99

In their first game without the owner Jerry Buss, the Lakers  looked like a team. Seven players were on double figures, led by Dwight Howard who had 24 points and 12 boards. L.A outrebounded Boston by 24 and made more than 50% of their shots.  Paul Pierce had 26 points for the Celtics.
