
Orlando Magic 98, Philadelphia 76ers 84
Orlando begun the 3rd period on a 11-0 run, Philadelphia cut the lead, but the Magic had another run in them, this time to start the 4th, outscoring the Sixers 17-3 to put the game away.
Newly acquired Tobias Harris, and Aaron Afflalo each scored 16 points to help the Magic end their five game losing streak. Philadelphia has lost six games in a row and their playoffs chances aren’t looking good.
Indiana Pacers 98, Golden State Warriors 87
Indiana had three players score more than 2o points, David West had 28, George Hill had 23 and Paul George had 21. There was an altercation in the 4th quarter when Roy Hibbert and David Lee pushed each other while fighting for position. Many players got involved, pushing each other, but no punches were thrown. Stephen Curry ended up with 38 points, but they weren’t enough.
Miami Heat 141, Sacramento Kings 129 (2 OT)
Lebron James and Dwyane Wade had 79 points between them. James scored 11 of his 40 points in the second overtime, he got more points (11-5), more rebounds (3-0) and more assists (3-1) than the whole Kings team in the final five minutes. James also got a career high 16 assists. The Heat have won 12 games in a row.
Cleveland Cavaliers 101, Chicago Bulls 98
The Bulls are still in a funk, losing five of their last seven games. Chicago trailed by two with 37 seconds to go, but Luol Deng missed a jumper and Shaun Livingston hit two free throws to seal the victory for Cleveland. Rookie Dion Waiters had 25 points for the Cavaliers, who played without all-star Kyrie Irving.
Brooklyn Nets 101, New Orleans Hornets 97
New Orleans fell behind by 22 points before making it a game with 2 minutes to go. However, Deron Williams scored the Nets last 11 points to avoid having a three game losing streak. The Nets, who played without guard Joe Johnson for the third consecutive game, got 20 points and 4 blocks from Brook Lopez.
Milwaukee Bucks 95, Dallas Mavericks 90
After not having a single double double, Dirk Nowtizki’s had two doubles doubles in the past two games. Nowitzki ended up with 21 points and 20 boards, but Monta Ellis broke a tie with a jumper with a minute remaining and the Mavs couldn’t score again. The Bucks three game losing streak is over.
Phoenix Suns 84, Minnesota Timberwolves 83 (OT)
Phoenix stopped their four game losing streak, but it wasn’t pretty. Ricky Rubio and Alexey Shved both missed easy shots, in the 4th and overtime, respectively, that would have given Minny the win, but both shots were miss. The Suns had six players in double figures.
Los Angeles Clippers 106, Charlotte Bobcats 84
The Bobcats led early, the Clippers ended that in the second quarter. “Lob City” outscored the Bobcats by 15 in the second quarter and didn’t look back. Blake Griffin led the Clippers with 24 points and 8 boards.
