Six Kings players were in double figures, their bench score more than half of the team’s points with 64 and this was never a contest. After losing a heartbreaking loss against the Heat, the Kings responded well. John Salmons led them with 21 points on 4-5 three pointers.
Cleveland Cavaliers 103, Toronto Raptors 92
Dion Waiters’ jumper gave the Cavaliers a five point lead with less than two minutes to put them up five. The Cavs started the game making 1 out of their first 16 shots, but were able to recover. All-Star Kyrie Irving missed his second straight game with a sore right knee.
Detroit Pistons 96, Washington Wizards 95
Brandon Knight, who missed the last three games, returned from injury and scored 32 points on 11-18 shooting. Jose Calderon who finished with 18 assists and only two turnovers. Washington had the chance to win the game at the buzzer. However, Trevor Ariza’s three pointer was way short.
New York Knicks 109, Golden State 105
Carmelo Anthony’s turnaround jumper gave New York a four point lead with 45 seconds left. Klay Thompson shot two three pointers in the last few seconds to cut the lead but wasn’t successful. Stephen Curry set a career high 54 points on 18-28 FG and 11-13 from three. Tyson Chandler grabbed a career high 28 boards.
Memphis Grizzlies 90, Dallas Mavericks 84
The Mavericks lead by 19 points in the first quarter and the lead grew as big as 25. Memphis opened the third quarter on a 20-0 run and overcame their biggest deficit of the season for their 8th straight victory. Zach Randolph had a double double with 22 and 10 boards.
Milwaukee Bucks 110, Houston Rockets 107
Brandon Jennings had chance to win the game for Milwaukee, but he decided to pass the ball to Ellis, the guard made an off balance three pointer right before the buzzer sounded to give the Bucks the win, and keeping their chances to move on to the 7th position in the East. Ellis had a really good game with 27 points, 13 assists and 6 steals.
Oklahoma City Thunder 119, New Orleans 74
Kevin Durant had a triple double with 18 points, 11 rebounds & 10 assists, Russell Westbrook had 29 points and the Hornets, who trailed by 40 in the 4th, never had a chance. New Orleans played without guard Eric Gordon and rookie Anthony Davis.
Phoenix Suns 105, San Antonio Spurs 101 (OT)
Phoenix led by one in overtime when Wesley Johnson missed a three pointer. But Jermaine O’Neal, who finished with 23 points and 12 rebounds, got the offensive rebound and a jumper. Danny Green missed a three to tie the game, but failed. The Spurs lost their first home game after a brilliant rodeo trip.
Atlanta Hawks 102, Utah Jazz 91
Al Horford scored a career high 34 points and 15 rebounds to give Atlanta their third straight win. Josh Smith added 24 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists. The Jazz, who lost back to back games at home, were without Paul Millsap. Al Jefferson led them with 26 points and 11 rebounds.
Denver Nuggets 111, Portland TrailBlazers 109
Damian Lillard hit a three with 3 seconds left to cut Denver’s lead to one, Andre Miller made one of two from the free throw line, but Lamarcus Aldridge missed a jumper that would have sent the game to an extra sessions. Andre Iguodala had 29 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for Denver.
