The Brooklyn Nets have reached an agreement with free agent guard Dahntay Jones on a non-guaranteed deal, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.
Jones was with the Los Angeles Clippers last season after spending time in the NBA Developmental League. The Clippers signed Jones to a 10-day contract and then signed him for the remainder of the season. Jones played in 33 regular season games and 11 playoff games for the Clippers.
Head coach Lionel Hollins coached Jones as an assistant in Memphis from 2003-2007. The Nets have 12 guaranteed contracts and a few partial guarantees, including Markel Brown, Ryan Boatwright, and Quincy Miller. Jones will have a chance to compete for a spot on the Nets roster in training camp.
At 34 years old, the Nets will be Jones’ eighth team in 12 seasons.
