After tons of speculation around the league that the Los Angeles Clippers AND Doc Rivers were extremely interested in Austin Rivers, the trade has finally gone through.
Here are the Details:
Suns Get: Reggie Bullock
Clippers Get: Austin Rivers
Celtics Get: Shavlik Randoplh, Chris Douglas-Roberts, A 2017 Second Round Pick
The Celtics acquired Austin Rivers in the trade that landed Jeff Green on the Memphis Grizzlies and now he has swiftly been moved to the Clippers. The Los Angeles Clippers has waived Guard Jordan Farmar to make room for Rivers.
Speaking on coaching his son and favoritism that might come with it Doc Rivers Said:
“I probably show favoritism to Blake Griffin and Chris Paul. I love my son, but I think I’m going to still favor Blake and Chris and those guys.”
I personally don’t understand the trade for the Clippers, because although Austin can add some fire power off the bench, his presence their will merely be to learn from Chris Paul. Daddy Day Care has officially started in Los Angeles.
