There were multiple reports of gunfire at a video shoot for Jonathan “DaBaby” Kirk in Charlotte, North Carolina on Saturday afternoon. Marvin Beach of WCCB, a CW affiliate in Charlotte, reported that multiple shots were fired and one woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Hours later, the chart-topping artist took to social media to confirm that he is in good health and was not present at the video shoot during the incident. He went on to confirm that he does plan to release a new video.
“I wasn’t there for the ‘shootout’ I’m hearing about. I do have a new video on the way though,” he wrote on Instagram.
At this time, it is unclear if the woman that was critically injured at the video shoot has survived. More details will be reported as the story develops.
