November has presented a number of obstacles for DaBaby. Most notably, he lost his brother, Glen Johnson, on November 3. Johnson reportedly died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. For some time, DaBaby has alluded to his brother’s battle to maintain his mental health.
“If you can’t get over depression, get help. [If] you see a loved one struggling, get them help. [If] they refuse the help, make [them] get treated anyway,” he tweeted following his brother’s death.
“[If] you suffer from PTSD, take that sh*t [seriously] and get help! I’m about [to] get a therapist my damn self!”
In honor of his passing, the North Carolina native dropped a new project called My Brother’s Keeper. The seven-track project features Meek Mill, Polo G, Toosii and No Cap. One of the standout tracks from the project is “More Money, More Problems” produced by Seth In The Kitchen.
“When I leave, they gon’ follow me out/Rich n*gga can’t have no feelings/Mo’ money, mo’ problems we got,” he rapped.
Adding to the record, he delivered a new video. Directed by Gemini Vision, the new visuals feature the best-selling artist spending quality time with his daughter. Check out the new video below.
