DaBaby has released his first statement regarding his arrest in Miami last week. He hopped on Instagram to write, “Please stop talking about that weak a** forty-eight hours I spent in jail and that failed attempt to break my spirits.”
“Don’t allow yourself to be [misled] by janky promoters and lazy ass grown men itching for the opportunity to file a lawsuit that they won’t win,” he continued.
“I remain composed and focused knowing allegations made without honesty and integrity will never be honored by the most high,” he added.
He ended by writing, “Please be reminded that suck ass situations like these aren’t worthy of your time or attention.”
As previously mentioned, DaBaby issued these statements after he was detained in Miami and charged with battery. His charges stem from an alleged incident in which a concert promoter was assaulted and robbed after he reportedly shorted DaBaby $10,000 for a performance. While in custody, further reports surfaced about a warrant for his arrest Dallas. There, the Grammy nominee is accused of being involved in gang activity after an alleged altercation at an airport. Fortunately, the North Carolina artist regained his freedom after posting $1,500 bond.
Prior to being arrested in Miami for battery, he was on an incredible run. To end the year, the North Carolina native had sold out a show in his hometown of Charlotte, held a toy drive and performed in Miami on New Year’s Eve.
It is unclear at the moment where the rising artist’s cases in Dallas and Miami stand. More details will be reported as this story develops.
