
MVP Stephen Curry scored 40 points on 12-19 shooting to lead the Golden State Warriors in a blow out win over the Houston Rockets 115-80 in Game Three of the Western Conference Finals. Golden State now takes a commanding 3-0 series lead, needing one win to advance to the NBA Finals.
The Baby Faced Assassin was unstoppable, making seven three pointers, including breaking Reggie Miller’s record for most three pointers made in a single postseason.
The game was never close, as Golden State led by 12 at the end of the first quarter and led by 22 at halftime.
James Harden struggled for Houston, shooting three of 16 from the field, but did finish with 17 points by making ten free throws. Dwight Howard, who was battling an injury, finished with 14 points and 14 rebounds and was one of the few Rocket players who played well.
Houston, who now trails 3-0 in the series, came back from a 3-1 deficit in the Western Conference Semi-Finals against the Clippers, will look to avoid getting swept in Game Four which will tip at 9pm on Monday. History is not on the Rockets side, as no team has ever come back in a series trailing 3-0.
