
Golden State Warriors continue to be the hottest team in the league and rolled over the Minnesota Timberwolves with the splash brothers somehow only combining to score 42 points and got their 13th consecutive win with a 102-86 victory over the T-Wolves.
Stephen Curry overcame an off kilter night from long range, shooting 1-7 from three, but managed to post 21 points and 7 assists with his partner in crime, Klay Thompson scoring only 21 points as well. They led the Warriors in scoring. Draymond Green had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the dubs. Marreese Speights led the Warriors bench with 12 points and 7 rebounds and Shaun Livingston had 12 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds and 4 steals joining Speights off the bench.
Warriors were wishing for the best when Andrew Bogut left with a knee injury early in the first quarter. Warriors say it’s just “right knee irritation” and initially said his return to the game was questionable but ended up remaining on the bench for the entire game.
Andrew Wiggins had 21 points and 6 rebounds for the Timberwolves, who are playing without three starters from the season opener and have their last 6 consecutive games. Thaddeus Young added 13 points and 7 rebounds and Corey Brewer had 10 points with 5 steals, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Shabazz Muhammad came off the bench to score 14 points.
The Warriors sport the NBA’s top-ranked defense and forced the injury depleted Timberwolves to 36 % shooting and forced the Wolves to turn the ball over 19 times.
Golden State Warriors are 18-2. Minnesota Timberwolves are 4-16.
