Yes you’re reading the title correctly Jason Kidd is set to interview with The Milwaukee Bucks for their Head Coaching position. After Kidd was denied full control over all roster decisions for The Nets, and Kidd obviously has sought out a position that will give him the control he desires. Jason Kidd’s first season with The Nets he went 44-38, but with a team full of veterans and large contracts I’m not sure what Kidd would’ve been able to do. Apparently Bucks Head Coach Larry Drew wasn’t informed Kidd would be interviewing for his job.
Kidd’s motivation for this move was the view around the league of Doc Rivers, Steve Kerr, and Derek Fisher having a big say so in roster decisions and Derek Fisher making more money then him which really got to him. If Kidd does in fact leave Brooklyn for Milwaukee it puts Brooklyn in a bind by searching for a Head Coach so late in a process that normally is wrapped up by now. If Kidd doesn’t take The Bucks job it could spell a messy situation for both teams especially The Bucks where a coaching candidate would be reluctant to accept the position just based off trust. This could get really interesting and fast.
