On Monday, June 9, 2025, New Jersey’s own Honey Bxby brought out New York native Lil’ Kim to perform the newly-released “Left Eye” remix at the 2025 BET Awards. Performing over the Mobb Deep-inspired production, Lil’ Kim and Honey Bxby bridged the gap between generations as they seamlessly merged the feeling of Honey Bxby’s recent single with the classic “Quiet Storm” record of 1999.
Honey Bxby’s performance at the BET Awards is the latest stop along her journey to stardom. Fresh off of tour with SAINt JHN, the emerging R&B singer is riding the high of recently-released EP, Raw Honey. With 11 tracks, she effortlessly floats between R&B and Hip-Hop while collaborating with the likes of Lola Brooke, Toosii, Coi Leray and WESLEYFRANKLIN.
“This project is me—sweet but savage,” Honey Bxby said. “It’s soft and vulnerable, but I’m still talking my s—t. I wanted it to feel real, like you’re right there in the room with me.”
Honey Bxby is not slowing down anytime soon. Later this month, she’s set to perform on Drewski’s Who’s Next Festival Stage during Hot 97’s Summer Jam at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. She’ll share the stage with Zeddy Will, Dee Billz, 2Rare, and several other emerging acts from the area.
