Oscar winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr. has met with the New York Police Department amid allegations over groping. Gooding Jr. is expected to make a statement later today regarding the matter.
Lawyers for the actor told CNN that he ‘voluntarily’ met with the NYPD in order to discuss terms. The allegations arose a couple of months ago when a 29-year old woman claimed that Gooding Jr. grabbed her breast at Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge in Manhattan on Sunday. The actor denies the claims and his lawyer defended his client.
“The surveillance footage shows absolutely no criminality taking place on the part of my client.” Mark Heller, one of Gooding Jr’s attorney’s told CNN.
This isn’t the first time the Oscar-winner Cuba Gooding Jr. has been caught up in an incident. In 2012, Gooding was faced with a similar scenario when a New Orleans bartender had said that he had pushed her and became aggressive but those charges were eventually dropped.
While there is no news regarding this particular incident, both the actor and his representatives have denied the allegations.
