Nipsey Hussle created the slogan “The Marathon Continues” and the Crips have now taken action to trademark it.
Nipsey Hussle was a well-known member of the Crips and the street gang filed a trademark earlier this month to preserve the famous slogan. According to The Blast, “the Crips moved to register “The Marathon Continues,” to be used in a mixture of services, including “Arranging and conducting youth sports programs.”
The Blast continues, “among the other services listed for Nipsey’s catchphrase, the Crips included, “Developing educational manuals for others in the field of community organizing, gang prevention” and “gang intervention.”
The application also states entertainment services will be provided by celebrities and community organizers from the Crips and the Bloods.
The trademark was filed by the Crips holding company, Crips LLC.
