Criminal Minds will be getting a new spinoff series.
The untitled show will be written by CBS’s Erica Messer and will go into production in February.
The new show will be mixed into episode 19 of the shows current season, giving viewers the opportunity to meet the characters in the spinoff.
The spinoff will follow a division in the FBI that helps American citizens who find themselves in trouble aborad, and will most likely feature a new cast.
The new series will be CBS’s second attempt at a spinoff.
In 2010, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior starring Forest Whitaker premiered but was cancelled after 13 episodes.
