Spooky stuff has been happening on the set of Warner Bros’ remake of The Witches. Ok, so not really, a crew member was stabbed by another crew member on Wednesday following a disagreement, according to Daily Mail. The injured man was taken to a hospital for treatment while the suspect was arrested by local police. Local law enforcement believes the two men knew each other.
Not much else is known about the stabbing, though police did release this statement to the public:
“Police were called at around 12.35pm today (Wednesday, June 19) to reports of an incident at Warner Bros studio production facility in Leavesden.
One man sustained a neck injury and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
A second man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and is currently in police custody.
It is believed the men are known to each other. Enquiries are continuing at this time to establish the circumstances around what happened.”
Since then, the attacker has posted bond and will be due back in court on July 17th. The film’s stars, Anne Hathaway, Octavia Spencer, Chris Rock, and Stanley Tucci seem relatively unaffected by the incident. The Witches is a remake of the 1990 film of the same name.
The Witches is slated for release on October 16th, 2020. This event won’t affect the film’s release.
