It saddens me to inform you all that the leukemia that we thought was out of Craig Sager’s life after an 11 month break from being an NBA analyst is back. Sager came back on March 5th when the Thunder traveled to Chicago to take on the Bulls after his 11 month absence from the sidelines, and the NBA world came together as one to welcome him back.
In a statement from Craig Sager Jr’s twitter account, he announced his father’s leukemia returned and Sager was going to undergo a similar process to what he went through last time. It is unclear how long Sager would be out but last time he went through this, it kept him out for almost a year. We all hope he will be back for good this time around.
We wanted to ensure he was taken care of & that we knew what the next steps were before we shared this #SagerStrong pic.twitter.com/IhUM2nK8yl

Sager was scheduled to make a trip to the NCAA tournament but then he got sick and under doctors orders, he was forced to stay home and rest. While staying home from the tournament, it was discovered that his leukemia came back, and he would have to go through with another treatment so he would be able to beat the disease.
Let us all watch and wait for another return by Sager, and when he comes back, we will watch the league embrace him and congratulate Sager for his fight. Sager did it once, and certainly can do it again. Sager has become a hero, and a role model for many others who have been diagnosed with this terrible disease. Sager will continue to inspire, and continue to show that he and others around the world will do what is needed to beat this disease.
