Craig Sager has been through one of the toughest battles of his life. The legendary NBA sideline reporter and sports broadcaster had been battling leukemia for almost two years and at one point things were looking up for Sager. It appeared his fight was almost over and he was going to pull through.
But his battle seemed to never end. When all appeared to be good, he would have a minor setback. But still, through it all, Sager found a way to fight. He worked games for Turner Sports NBA coverage, he was honored at the ESPY’s and just this week he was inducted into the sports broadcasting hall of fame.
The ‘Sager Strong’ mantra flowed through him, his family and the entire NBA and sports community as we all came together to help battle cancer. Unfortunately, the battle ended today. Sager has passed away at age 65.
The announcement was made official by Turner Sports Public Relations.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Sager family, the Turner Sports family and just anyone in general Sager has inspired and touched throughout the years. We lost one of the best of all-time and there will be no way to replace him.
TNT released a beautiful tribute video following the announcement of his death.
