The Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Portland Trail Blazers and Oklahoma City Thunder all have interest in Brewer, according to Yahoo Sports.
Oklahoma City’s interest in Brewer is said to be significant, with coach Billy Donovan and Brewer having close ties dating back to when Donovan coached Brewer in college. The Thunder, who lost Andre Roberson to a season-ending injury last month, hope to add a wing player before the postseason begins.
Brewer, who’s in his 11th NBA season, averaged 3.7 points per game on 45 percent shooting from the floor with the Lakers this season. He appeared in 54 games and was traded from Houston to L.A. at last season’s trade deadline.
Cleveland, Portland and Oklahoma City have an open roster spot to sign Brewer once he clears waivers on Friday, while Milwaukee would have to waive a player before signing him. Washington, Minnesota, New Orleans and Utah are also said to have some interest in him, but they too must waive a player first.
