It’s always cool to see players that used to play together have a reunion somewhere else. It’s even more cool if they used to play in College or high school. But that isn’t the case this time.
Once upon a time, Corey Brewer and Ty Lawson were on the same team. That team was the Denver Nuggets, for a few years they’ve faced each other with Brewer being a member of the Houston Rockets. But now that Ty Lawson has landed in Houston, Brewer will look forward to having a little reunion with the point guard.
“I had some good years in Denver with Ty so I know how to play with him and I love the way he plays because he plays fast like I do and he’s going to push the pace, push the tempo. That’s what we need here. That’s what we like to do. We like to run.”
“Yeah he’s going to be able to do a lot. You got to think about the different guys he’s going to play with. Denver had some good players, they didn’t have James Harden or Dwight Howard. It’s very different when you play with guys like that.”
It seems like the perfect recipe for Lawson and the Rockets, him and Harden bring the noise and then they can dish it out to an open Corey Brewer or throw it up for Howard. Seems simple enough. We’ll see if they make it that easy for themselves.
