DaBaby is being held in police custody in Florida for two separate cases in both Florida and Texas. The most recent of the two cases involves the alleged robbery of a promoter in Florida.
The Charlotte native reportedly performed at the Cafe Iguana Pines nightclub for $30,000. However, the promoter reportedly only paid the North Carolina artist $20,000 up front and planned to pay the rest afterwards. When the plan was conveyed to his team, things allegedly got heated. From there, members of DaBaby’s team allegedly poured apple juice on the man, took $80 from him and stole his phone.
According to TMZ, the promoter, Kenneth, submitted photos of the injuries he sustained from the alleged robbery. Furthermore, Kenneth has stated that he intends to sue the rapper for the alleged assault. At the moment, it is unclear when or how he’ll proceed with legal action.
DaBaby will be held in police custody without bond for their foreseeable future.
