
After four seasons with the Detroit Lions, tight end Eric Ebron is moving on to another midwest team. The former number 10 pick in the 2014 NFL Draft is joining the Indianapolis Colts shortly after he was released by the Lions.
He will reportedly sign a deal with Indy for two years worth up to $15 million.

Heading into the 2014 NFL Draft many people were speculating if Ebron could be the next great tight end in the NFL. He had the physical tools, measurables and stats coming out of UNC to garner a top 10 pick. Unfortunately, he hasn’t quite delivered up to expectations.
It was relatively up and down for Ebron in Detroit. He never eclipsed the 65 catch or 800 yard threshold in a season for Detroit and his season-high for touchdown catches was five in 2015. He’s played in 13 games each of his four seasons with Detroit.
Ebron had some interesting comments about his time spent in Detroit, according to Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star.
“I really have nothing to put in perspective on what happened there. I’m on a totally different team and I have nothing to say about the organization. I’m really thankful for them blessing me with an opportunity to play. But I really have nothing to say about the organization.”
He now joins a Colts team that has breakout tight end Jack Doyle on the roster and with Andrew Luck expected to be fully healthy going into the 2018 season, it could be a strong showing for Ebron, if all goes well. Ebron joins
