While Peyton Manning officially retired as a member of the Denver Broncos, ‘the sheriff’ will always be remembered as a member of the Indianapolis Colts and team owner Jim Irsay will make sure everyone knows it forever.
Irsay announced today that not only will Peyton Manning get his number 18 jersey retired, he will also get a statue built outside of Lucas Oil Stadium to commemorate the best player in Colts history.
Peyton retired with a multitude of NFL records for a quarterback and now he will get his proper due from the team that originally drafted him. Congrats to Peyton.
