The #Colts and K Adam Vinatieri agreed on a 2-year deal worth $6M, source said. He can earn another $1M in incentives.

Vinatieri shared his excitement once the deal was signed.
“I love this stuff. It’s great,” the 43-year-old Vinatieri, who was an unrestricted free agent in 2016, said earlier this offseason about life in the NFL.
“There is nothing I would rather be doing and if I can compete at a high enough level, why wouldn’t you?”
In 2015 the 43 year old vet went 25/27 on field goal tries this past season (92.6% conversion rate). The bad news was he did miss three extra points this season adjusting to the new kicking rules. He is currently third all time for the most points in NFL history.
Colts GM Ryan Grigson has kept quite busy so far. First he reached an extension with tight end Dwayne Allen and then released former first round pick Bjoern Werner. When it came to keeping Vinatieri Grigson felt like he had no choice.
“We are thrilled to retain Adam as a member of the Colts family,” General Manager Ryan Grigson said in a team release.
“Adam continues to play at the highest level year in and year out and his hard work, consistency and professionalism are a credit to him being the longest tenured active player in the NFL. Adam has won multiple Super Bowls and is a future Hall of Famer. We look forward to continuing to utilize his championship-pedigree and leadership in our program.”
