In 60 appearances with the Clippers last season, Cole Aldrich averaged 5.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in only 13.3 minutes per contest.
Previously, Aldrich had hopes of re-signing with the Clippers this summer. With Los Angeles agreeing to deals with Austin Rivers and Wesley Johnson, along with the ongoing Jamal Crawford negotiations, Aldrich opted to sign elsewhere.
Paid just $1.1M this season, Aldrich will now receive an annual salary of $7.3M.
Aldrich, a Minnesota native, will head back home and serve as a perfect grit-and-grind fit under head coach Tom Thibodeau.
Aldrich was selected No. 11 overall by New Orleans in the 2010 NBA Draft.
