GRAMMY Award-winning songstress Coco Jones will take her talents to the football field this February.
During halftime of the final Sunday Night Football matchup of November, NBC, the NFL, Roc Nation, and Apple Music unveiled a group of critically acclaimed performers, including Brandi Carlile, Charlie Puth, and Jones, who will take the field at Levi’s Stadium before kickoff at Super Bowl LX. Jones will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” Brandi Carlile will sing “America, The Beautiful,” and Puth will tackle the national anthem.
“Super Bowl Sunday is the world’s biggest entertainment stage, and we’re proud to spotlight artists who embody the very best of music and culture,” NFL Global Event Production Vice President Jon Barker shared in a press release. “Beyond the game itself, the Super Bowl is a global celebration. These artists bring a distinct voice to the moment, helping set the tone for a day that will captivate fans around the world.”
Jones, Puth, and Carlile will set the stage for Apple Music’s Super Bowl LX Halftime Show headlined by Bad Bunny.
“What I’m feeling goes beyond myself. It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture, and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL,” the chart-topping performing artist shared.
As for the teams playing in the big game, it’s unclear at the moment. In the AFC, the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots, both led by sophomore quarterbacks, are jockeying for position atop the conference heading into the late-season playoff push. Not to mention, the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars are hanging around while Josh Allen’s Buffalo Bills and Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs vie for a Wild Card spot. Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears, also led by a sophomore quarterback, sit atop the NFC while last season’s Super Bowl Champs, the Philadelphia Eagles, continue to hang around.
