For some time, most of us have known the Los Angeles Clippers would be doing some major changes to their brand in the Summer of 2015. Well this week, those changes will be unveiled. The new logo for the organization has already been leaked. There has also been leaked images of Clippers star Blake Griffin wearing their “new uniforms”.
Since there are so many images leaked, it seems there shouldn’t be too many drastic changes if any from what the leaked photos have been telling us. The initial response of the leaked photos have not been very positive. However, the reporters who were shown the leaked pictures have been told that these were just some of several options being considered for both the new logo and uniforms.
It seems as if the organization has already began on getting rid of their old logos from the facilities as well. The announcement should come this week.
“Clippers owner Steve Ballmer is expected to formally make the announcement as early as Thursday. The Clippers have already begun the process of switching out the old logos at the team’s training facility in Playa Vista, Calif.” said ESPN’s Arash Markazi.
“The word Clippers means something now; it didn’t mean much probably a year and half ago but it means something today,” said Ballmer. “If I was to give you my visceral view, my track record is on display. Here we are, 30 years later and Windows is still called Windows. It hasn’t changed its name.”
The new acquisition of Lance Stephenson along with a new logo and uniforms has the Clippers fans in a brand new atmosphere. It appears the Clippers are making changes much like the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers are.
