Clippers Reportedly Interested In 76ers Tony Wroten
The Los Angeles Clippers have a slight scoring deficiency on the wing that they’re well aware of. They made it clear that trading Jamal Crawford wouldn’t be in their plans to rectify that issue. Maybe Tony Wroten could help.
Wroten is the youngest player in the NBA leading his team in scoring at 17.4 points per game and 21 years old. This season could be considered a break out for him on the tanking Sixers, and according to Dan Woike of the Orange County Register, Wroten has found himself now on the Clippers’ radar.

Interest in Wroten remains, but nothing seems imminent on that front.

The Clippers sent Jared Cunningham and cash to the Sixers earlier today to relieve a bit of their hard cap salary room.
Although Wroten to the Clips is nowhere near imminent, the mindset for Doc Rivers here seems to be extra scoring, dynamism, and playmaking. Wroten has the ability to create for himself and others with a particular flare, perhaps even comparable to his fellow Seattle-native Jamal Crawford. Even if the Clippers are getting along as a unit, contrary to recent reports, it does seem evident that they need an extra “umph” to their attack. Someone like Wroten would be an interesting wild card to be offered that opportunity.
