Wesley Johnson was an addition the Los Angeles Clippers made to further expand their rotation. While he isn’t exactly the thing the Clippers need on the wing he does fill a nice ‘3 and D’ role for them.
Wes was a solid rotational player for the Clippers, a team that had limited options for his position. They secured Wes on a cheap deal and they retain him on another cheap deal, well below market value.

Free agent Wesley Johnson has agreed to a three-year, $18 million contract to return to the Los Angeles Clippers, league sources told The Vertical.
After re-signing guard Austin Rivers, the Clippers moved toward re-signing Johnson, agreeing to terms with the forward on a deal for the full mid-level exception. The third year of the deal has a player option, sources said.
The Clippers signed a deal with Austin Rivers earlier in the day, keeping Doc’s son in LA. They are still waiting on a response from reigning sixth man of the year Jamal Crawford.
Johnson has played six NBA seasons with Minnesota, Phoenix, the Lakers and Clippers. Last season, Johnson averaged 6.9 points and 3.1 rebounds while playing 20.8 minutes in 80 appearances.
