Clippers Hold Off Hard-Fought Effort From Pacers For 103-96 Win
The Los Angeles Clippers win their ninth straight game and fifth straight game on the road with a 103-96 win against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday. Jamal Crawford had a team-high 18 points off the bench for the Clippers, along with Chris Paul and Blake Griffin’s 17 points apiece. Six Clippers players scored in double figures. C.J. Miles had a game-high 30 points off the bench for the Pacers.
The Clippers got off to a 28-17 start in the first part of the game, but much like the course the game, Indiana kept pulling back within single digits. The Pacers only won the second quarter 24-21 and suffered their biggest deficit in the third quarter when the Clippers mounted their biggest 20-point lead of the game.
But Indiana would respond with a 31-point fourth quarter effort that brought them within single digits again in the final stretch of the game. Led by a big scoring night and shot-making from Miles, the Pacers bench produced 76 total points in the game. They also shot under 40 percent from the field and simply struggled to manufacture consistent offense when they needed it the most.
The Clippers move to 16-5 on the season and the Pacers fall to 7-15.
