USA TODAY Sports’ Sam Amick reports that the Hawks will be the third team involved. Likely facilitating the trade by taking on the contracts, Atlanta will likely get a first-round pick in return.
In this deal, which is nearing its finish, Gallinari would likely land starting salary of $20 million in first year. Hawks would get a 1st.

The Vertical’s Shams Charania is reporting that Jamal Crawford and Diamond Stone will also be headed to Atlanta. Denver will take on Paul Millsap who agreed to a contract earlier this week.
The Hawks, who will be receiving Houston’s pick given to the Clippers in a trade for Chris Paul, will likely not keep Crawford around for long. According to Amick, the guard isn’t looking to stay in Atlanta.
Gallinari, who only played in 63 games last season due to injury, will form a big frontcourt with Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan. Last season, the Italian forward averaged 18.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.
The Nuggets, who could have renounced Gallo in order to sign Millsap into cap space, gain nothing in the trade. Their motivation appears to have been helping Gallinari find a suitable home. The Hawks, meanwhile, were able to snag two young assets in Stone and the first round pick, for losing out on Millsap.
