Crawford could be back for the Clippers as soon as next week.
The Los Angeles Clippers have missed Jamal Crawford on their bench due to a reoccurring calf injury. Clippers head coach Doc Rivers said that Crawford could miss the rest of the season, but the latest update on Crawford’s status suggested that he’d be ready by the postseason.
Crawford’s new timeline makes next Tuesday’s game against the Lakers a possibility for his return, via ESPN’s Arash Markazi:
If you want to pencil in a possible return date for Jamal Crawford if he continues to progress, April 7 against the Lakers looks realistic.

The Clippers still find themselves in a positioning battle in the Western Conference. They’ve clinched a playoff spot, but are currently one game behind Portland for the 4-seed, which has home court implications in the first round of the playoffs. The Clips are only a game and a half above the sixth-seeded Spurs, who have started to surge this month.
With Blake Griffin back in the swing of things, Crawford returning next week would put the Clippers at full strength just in time for the postseason, where his bench scoring will be needed the most.
