The situation with the Los Angeles Clippers, Dallas Mavericks and DeAndre Jordan has been an emoji-filled rollercoaster for all parties involved.
It was reported earlier in the day that Jordan had second thoughts about his verbal commitment to the Dallas Mavericks last week. Seemingly the minute that news came out, everyone who played for the Mavericks or Clippers and had a twitter account decided to tweet emojis detailing their possible mode of transportation to get to Houston and meet with Jordan at his home.
Now it’s gone from a funny scenario to kind of creepy considering what the Clippers and their DeAndre recovery team is now doing. The group of owner Steve Ballmer, coach and president of basketball operations Doc Rivers, All-Stars Chris Paul, Paul Pierce and Blake Griffin along with sharp-shooter J.J. Redick are holding an old-fashioned sit-in to make sure that Marc Cuban, Chandler Parsons and anyone else with the Mavericks can not come and talk to DeAndre before midnight tonight.
At midnight, Jordan can re-sign with the Clippers and go back on what he agreed to do just under a week ago.
Following from ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne, Marc Stein and Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
Clippers believe DJ is returning to LA but I'm told they are staying at his house until he can sign at midnight.

In story with @ramonashelburne we also report Mavs now fear they won't now get audience with Jordan as Clips have essentially surrounded him

So far, Clippers able to keep everyone else out of house, including Cuban, agents. Everyone. They're in four-corners until midnight Eastern.
