Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Spurs Matt Bonner in the second and final round of the Foot Locker three point shooting contest by the score of 23 to 20.
In the Eastern Conference first round, the 2012 rookie of the year had an 18 point score to defeat Indiana’s Paul George’s 10 and New York’s Steve Novak 17.
Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors and Ryan Anderson of the Hornets were defeated by San Antonio Spurs Matt Bonner for the West.
The win gives Kyrie Irving yet another award, he won the 2012 Rising Challenge most valuable player award as well as the rookie of the year. Irving, 20, was selected to play in his first all-star game.
