‘Clerks 3’ has apparently been pushed back.
Director Kevin Smith is turning away from ‘Clerks 3’ to focus his time on a new Christmas horror trilogy ‘Comes the Krampus’.
During his Reddit AMA, the director said he wants to focus on fresh material.
“Now, at this point in time, nobody but me can make a Clerks film,” said Smith. “But ANYONE can make a Krampus picture. So before anyone else does, I figured it’s time to keep moving forward: we’re gonna shoot Comes the Krampus in April, before Clerks III.”
It was confirmed last month that Rosario Dawson would return for the third film in the franchise.
No release date has been announced.
