Super Bowl LVI is days away and the excitement is in the air. There is still one big question revolving around who will suit up on game day. Cincinnati Bengals tight end CJ Uzomah is still hopeful that he can play after spraining his MCL in the 2022 AFC Championship game. He is determined to play in the game, but his status is still in doubt and will depend on Saturday’s practice.
CJ Uzomah was a limited participant in practice Thursday with the #Bengals. It was his first time practicing since he sprained his MCL in the AFC title game. Zac Taylor says he’s progressing nicely ahead of #SuperBowl Sunday. @gmfb @nflnetwork pic.twitter.com/SEnhb9Kj1X

Zac Taylor said It’s hard to say if C.J. Uzomah (knee) will go on Sunday. He said they’ll take a good look today and tomorrow in practice to see where he’s at.

CJ Uzomah was a limited participant in practice and that is a good sign for the tight end. Joe Burrow uses the starting tight end as a security check down and he is a vital receiver and blocker on the team. If he is unable to go the load will fall to backup tight end Drew Sample. While he is capable the team would prefer to have their starting tight end in the game. Uzomah has sworn that he will play in the biggest game of his life.
On a more light-hearted note, the Bengals’ tight end has vowed to take a bath in Skyline Chilli if the Cincinnati Bengals win Super Bowl LVI. We here at Def Pen Sports hope to see the Bengals tight end in the game and playing with his team on Sunday.
