These artists join Kelly Clarkson, Lauren Daigle, Jonas Brothers, Madonna and Maluma, Panic! At The Disco and Khalid as performers for the annual event. Mariah Carey also serves as a performer in addition to receiving the 2019 Icon Award.
Billboard shares Halsey performance includes her hit song Without Me as well as an on-stage link-up with BTS. Ciara plans bring her latest single Thinkin Bout You to life. The Billboard awards celebrate the most commercially successful artists. Both nominees and winners are based on fan interactions with music including album sales, digital sales, streaming, radio airplay, touring and social media.
Cardi B leads the pack with 21 2019 Billboard Music Award nominations. The Bronx rapper even competes against herself in multiple categories. Drake, Post Malone, Travis Scott, and XXXTentacion also earned nominations in the double digits.
Kelly Clarkson will host the 2019 Billboard Music Awards at MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 1 at 8 PM EST live on NBC.
