2015 has been a busy year for the R&B and Pop superstar, Ciara. Releasing her sixth studio album, Jackie, on May 1st, since the album’s release, the singer has hit the ground running with no signs of slowing down in the near future. Aside from traveling across the country in support of the project, along with cheering for her Seattle Seahawks boyfriend, Russell Wilson, Ciara has lent her vocal chords to the film, “The Last Witch Hunter.” Instead of a role in the movine, the singer has covered Rolling Stones’ hit record, ‘Paint It, Black.’
Sultry but striking best describes Ciara’s take on the Rolling Stones classic. Notably being territory she hasn’t experimented with musically, the ‘I Bet’ singer sounds right at home as she shifts between soft and powerful vocals on the almost 4-minute record. It wouldn’t be a surprise if the cover marks as an inspiration for further experimentation on Ciara’s next LP. One to never back down from a challenge with her music, take a listen to the hit-maker’s ‘Paint It, Black’ cover, below.
