Eight-time Grammy Award winner Chris Stapleton will perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” at Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Arizona. Stapleton follows Mickey Guyton, who performed the National Anthem at Super Bowl LVI last February. Guyton and Stapleton are part of a long list of country artists that have performed at the Super Bowl, including Garth Brooks, Charley Pride and Faith Hill.
Chris Stapleton is an accomplished country musician with eight victories at the Grammy Awards and more than a dozen nominations. Each of his four studio albums has gone platinum and he’s delivered 14 Billboard Hot 100 hits. He has not released a new album in nearly three full years, but he is expected to sell out venues as the headliner of his upcoming tour. Alongside Marty Stuart, Margo Price, Allen Stone, Marcus King, Charley Crockett, The War & Treaty and Nikki Lane, he will stop in nearly two dozen cities beginning in March.
Stapleton is one of several stars set to take the field at State Farm Stadium before kickoff. Babyface will sing “America The Beautiful” and Sheryl Lee Ralph will perform “Lift Ever Voice and Sing.” To top it all off, Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter and Roc Nation has locked in Rihanna as the halftime show performer.
Super Bowl LVII is set to begin on February 12, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. EST.
