DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul are back doing Lob City things together. Jordan would have been catching lobs in Dallas but not with this flare.
In the double high ball screen action we see a lot for Chris Paul, Jordan is the screener and roll man. But if you watch closely, the second high screener isn’t Blake Griffin, it’s J.J. Redick. This helps for execution on isolating Jordan on the roll for a lob, because Redick’s defender sticks, Paul Pierce is in the opposite corner and can’t be left, and so it effectively makes it a 3-on-2 situation that the Kings can’t defend.
This was a crucial play in the game too. It gave the Clippers a 4-point lead with 1:15 left. They ran this knowing that they would get an easy look out of it.
